Who knew???I went to my fridge for some raw veggies for supper and a boquet of flowers greeted me. Who gave me these to me, I wonder?

that BROCCOLI grew flowers.
You can eat them, they taste exactly the same. They make a lovely bouquet. So sad they are no more.

Yvonne, you have got an amazing blog here! I love the pictures, quotes and stories of your family life. You have some sharp thinkers in your house. It's good you're writing these stories down for they will make very interesting reading when the kids are a few years older.
I had no idea broccoli would flower either. I have seen some amazing things "flower" in my fridge, but I would have a little trouble eating them!

Janet: as far as I know.. all I did was ignore them. This broccoli is the bigger buds kind, maybe you can see in the photo and it's organic. I don't know if that's the difference.
